The lightsaber seen in The Empire Strikes Back features numerous improvements made by Luke Skywalker to increase his advantage in combat (compare to his Star Wars: A New Hope lightsaber). This lightsaber's hand grips are now further secured with screws, the clear six bubble control box activator plate has been replaced with a more streamlined circuit plate and the bottom lens has been replaced by an additional control knob and button. Recreated from original Lucasfilm archival materials. Fully authorized and endorsed by Lucasfilm Ltd. Constructed from durable machined and die-cast metal, each replica is polished and assembled by hand. Lightsaber comes with a custom designed display case, silver-toned metal plaque personally signed by Mark Hamill, and Certificate of Authenticity.
