Pappenheimer Style Rapier(SH1025)

The Pappenheimer style basket originated with Gottfried Heinrich, Graff Pappenheim, who carried a sword so hilted in the thirty years' War (1618-1648) - many smiths throughout Germany and the low countries copied the style, which provides excellent sword hand protection.
The Pappenheimer Rapier has a solid steel hilt, basket and wire-wrapped handle. The diamond section, high-carbon steel blade ricasso is wrapped with black leather, to match the rigid black leather scabbard with silver tips.
